Radnor Primary School

After School Club

Radnor Rascals

Radnor Rascals is an independent after school club, with charitable status, taking children aged between 4 and 11 years from Radnor Primary School. Pupils are walked to Conway Road Methodist Church Hall each day.

Radnor Rascals celebrated its 25th year in September 2016.  Its success and popularity is due to the need for after school provision at an affordable price but with no compromise on quality of care. The club is managed and run by a team including some members of our staff but is run independently of school.  The staff have many years’ experience in childcare.

Radnor Rascals operates during term time only and they are registered with CSSIW (Care and Social Services Inspectorate in Wales).  They are inspected every two years, and a copy of the latest Inspection report is available on request from the manager, Ann Chiplen.

The emphasis is always on fun and nurturing the child’s development through play experiences in a warm, safe and a welcoming environment.  The activities range from construction toys, small world toys, role play, arts and crafts projects to more physical activities such as table tennis, air hockey, table top football and snooker.  They are fortunate to have a smaller side room for children who prefer quieter activities or who would prefer some time out.

A healthy snack and drink are provided every day. For information, please ring 07944 574735.
